The Beginning

I spent 40 years in construction. Most of that time, I was building homes from the ground up, framing walls, pouring foundations, watching neighborhoods take shape. I knew the work inside and out. I knew how to read a plan, manage a crew, and deliver on time.

Then 2008 happened. Like everyone else in the industry, I felt the ground shift. New construction slowed. The economy tightened. But I noticed something in those quieter years: homeowners still wanted to improve their houses. They wanted kitchens that worked better, basements that lived better, bathrooms that felt newer. They wanted additions that fit their lives. And nobody was giving them the attention they deserved.

So I shifted. I started doing remodeling work. It was different from building new. Remodeling meant working inside someone's home while they lived there. It meant precision, coordination, respect for the space. It meant listening to what people actually wanted, not just executing a blueprint. I got better at it because I had to be.

In 2016, I started Sevin Interiors. By then, I knew what I believed in: experience matters, attention matters, and doing it right the first time matters more than cutting corners to finish faster.

What Four Decades Taught Us

We're locally owned because Cincinnati is home. We've built here, remodeled here, and raised this company here. We understand the neighborhoods, the homes, the way people actually live in this area. That matters when you're working inside someone's house.

We're experienced because we earned it the hard way. Not through marketing or claims, but through thousands of days on job sites, learning what works and what doesn't. When you've spent decades in construction, you develop an instinct for problems before they become expensive. You know how homes are actually built, so you know how to improve them without surprises.

We work in kitchen remodeling, basement finishing, bathroom remodeling, home additions, and general contracting. We still build new homes too. What connects all of this work is the same principle: we show up as if we're building or improving our own place. That means no shortcuts, no excuses, and a commitment to understanding what you actually want, not just what the plans say.
